J&K reinstates lecturer suspended over SC appearance in Article 370 case

https://ift.tt/roMyzaS Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, a government higher secondary school lecturer who had been punished for appearing before the Supreme Court to advocate against the repeal of Article 370, was suspended just days after the Constitution bench hearing the petitions questioned whether the penalty against him was "retribution." Bhat, who teaches political science at a state-run higher secondary school in Srinagar's Jawahar Nagar and also holds a law degree, was referred to as a "delinquent officer" when he was suspended on August 25.
