Asaram gets jail term on complaint of rape, sodomy

https://ift.tt/rCSj0ho A sessions court in Gandhinagar on Tuesday sentenced Asumal Harpalani alias Asaram to life imprisonment after holding him guilty of rape and sodomy, one decade after a former devotee made the complaint against him. According to one of the lawyers present, the 82-year-old convict lamented: ‘Aur bhi saza karva dete!’ (you could inflict even more punishment) on hearing the sentence.
