Assam final NRC draft out: 2.89 of 3.29 crore on citizenship list

That means some 40-41 lakh of Assamese have technically stopped being 'Indian'. The NRC coordinator, who released the final draft, emphasised that "this is just a draft, and not the final list.The people who are not included can make claims and objections".
